Biography
Steven G. Dimitriou, DO, MS is a board-certified nephrologist. He earned his medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine; completed his residency in internal medicine at PCOM Med Net; and went on to complete fellowship training in nephrology and Hypertension at Temple University Hospital.
At Clinical Renal Associates in Broad Street and Lehigh Avenue, Dr. Dimitriou provides comprehensive care for patients with kidney disease, with a strong focus on electrolyte disorders, hypertension, chronic kidney disease, and dialysis.
His research contributions include studies on renal damage in systemic lupus erythematosus and ingestive behavior related to dietary fat options.
His care philosophy is grounded in education, collaboration, and compassion: “My goal is to provide evidence-based, patient-centered care that empowers the individual with kidney disease to make informed decisions about their health. Education, collaboration, and compassion are my tenets.”
Dr. Dimitriou is fluent in Greek and Spanish. He is an active member of the American Osteopathic Association, American Society of Nephrology, National Kidney Foundation, ACOI, and the Hellenic Medical Society of Philadelphia.
